WHAT, WHY |
In After-Sales we've observed a persisting change towards the reprocessing of used components. The reasons can be sought, on the one hand, in the effort to conserve resources and in environmental protection – the demand for recycling – and on the other hand in the risk that used components might be unprofessionally repaired by third parties and then put back into circulation with the ZF design. This could have disastrous effects.
Remanufacture at ZF Lenksysteme encompasses all products which are delivered as OEM units to vehicle manufacturers. They include rack-and-pinion power steering units for cars, power steering pumps for cars and commercial vehicles, and the recirculating ball power steering used in heavier cars and commercial vehicles.
